Hoottrack allows for numerous code-generation categories, including:

MeCards –  Virtual business cards – contact data populates directly into the scanning party’s mobile device contacts database.  Less dense than vCards.

vCards – same as MeCards, but allows for more data inputs and renders more dense than MeCards.

Calendar Events– Event Date and Time populate directly into scanning party’s mobile device calendar database.

Email – When scanned, this code will access the scanning party’s preferred mobile email service provider and generate an email automatically addressed to the programmed email address.

Phone – When scanned, this code will allow the scanning party to either “dial number” or “save” to contacts.

Plain Text – When scanned, this code will display simple text programmed into the code.

SMS – When scanned, this code will auto-populate a new SMS message with predefined text (as in the case of an opt-in, or call to action), with the predefined “To:” number already inserted.

Maps – When scanned, this code will identify the address programmed into the code, and will allow for the scanning party to seek directions or navigate to the subject address.

Social Media – These codes allow for direct scanning to social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, LinkedIn, as well as YouTube.  Facebook integration is huge in Hoottrack!

WiFi Network – When scanned, this code will auto-access a given WiFi network, and allows for auto population of WEP, WPA/WPA2 security access passwords.
